It snowed. Actual snow, of course we saw snow on Christmas Eve and it was mixed with rain. Snow, all day long, while we sat here and rested from our travels. I love having a big picture window on days like today.
2010 is here and I have decided to add a word of the year to the blog. I found this over at Ali Edwards and liked the idea.
I have chose "Resolve". Why? Lots of resons.
I, at times, spend my time comparing myself to other moms or worrying and freting over upcoming events and so on and so on. I really need to learn to not do that. So I will resove.
Resolve to better organized, let face it I am the Queen of late birthday cards.
Resolve to be a better mom.
Resolve to be a better wife.
Resolve to finsh what I start, I started a pillowcase cross stitch the first weekend in August in 2008. Yes, I know.
Resolve to read my entire Bible. I have tried before and got half way done but this year Lisa and I are doing it together. So far so good.
Resolve to be a better me.
It's a big year, 2010. Derek is starting a new postion at work, we are entering the teenage years and having a big Welcome 13 BBQ. Many new and wonderful things to see and do.
Have a wonderful 2010, I leave you with the following:
A new year is about to unfold
With new opportunities to explore
Doors will open for new experiences
New adventures with the Lord
Remember not the former things
The things of this past year
The Lord will do new things in us
Much more than we are aware
For He will make a way for us
As we put our trust in Him
And He will guide our every step
By His presence we have within
What God has placed within our hearts
We find we’ll be able to do
If we look for the opportunities
We’ll see the door to go through
We mustn’t let anything hold us back
But rise up and take our place
And be all that God wants us to be
With a fresh touch of His grace
