Jake #4, yes that is our dogs name. When our little man was 2 we got a black lab puppy and he named him Jake. Our first dog ran away and we got a second puppy which was named Jake #2, you can see the process here.
In May of 2006, we got Jake #4 another Lab and he is a great dog. At one time we even had a food bowl with the chorus from the song "Feed Jake" by the Pirates of Caribbean.
Last Saturday, around 3:30 am, something woke us up. It was a loud, horrible sound. Derek got up to look around and I looked out the window to see Jake run up to the house and climb the wall while winning. Dog claws on the side of the house is just unnerving.
In the distance was thunder and some lighting at this time we just checked on Jake and went back to bed.
Saturday he did it again, Sunday morning he was up and at it again. This is when we put two and two together. Jake #4 is not a fan of bad weather.
Last night was the worst night, the weather was worse and at 10 we brought him in the house. In the house he paced and checked out each bed, keep Conor up all night along with us.
We love Jake but this has us puzzled.
