A conversation happened over Mother's Day weekend. A lady contacted my mom about her uncle, Fred Jr.

My Great Uncle, Fred Jr is Missing In Action. Fred Jr, was in WWII and was on a plane that crashed in North Africa. This lady, Megan, does research for the Army and is in contact with my mom, not sure why only that the Army has asked her to find his next of kin.

This could mean several things, one of which may be, they have found some remains, need to return personal affects and many other things.


We'll have to wait and see how all of this plays out. It just makes us want to dig deeper in our family history.
