cold outside. We gave up and turned on the heat Friday night and then again early this morning. A few weeks ago I pulled out the homemade hot chocolate mix. Conor was very excited, he likes his hot chocolate with whip cream, mini marshmallows and a cherry and after Christmas he adds a candy cane. I must say, this is my favorite mix much better than a box.

Last Christmas, we got a Mr. Coffee Cocomotion and boy does it make the drink even better. Add a little butter schnapps and it's benissimo. Of course, this little gadget sat in the pantry from about May to over the weekend and bringing one item out resulted in alot of purging and one play room being re-arranged. Sorry Mom but the bed is pushed up against the wall again.

That is what I did this weekend, cleaned and purged and now have three big boxes for Salvation Army.

Hot Chocolate Mix 

1 lb Quick

1 lb Powder Sugar

1 1/2 lb non-fat dairy milk

6 oz jar non-dairy creamer

Mix all together. Makes 4 quart jars of mix. 

Stir 1/3 cup into mug with hot water

Enjoy the cold weather with someone to cuddle with and a big mug of hot chocolate.
